Farandole is a round-neck cardigan that is both chic and fun. Its crocheted scallops give it a festive look. It is knitted from the top down, without a seam. The button placket is knitted at the same time as the body. The shoulders are constructed by a set of increases that give a very flattering cut at this level. The scallops are made at the end, which makes this detail optional if you want to knit a version in all sobriety.
The pattern includes two sleeve options: straight, slightly puffed sleeves or semi-fitted sleeves. The presentation model is knitted with a fingering weight yarn doubled with a lace weight mohair and silk yarn. I chose the semi-fitted sleeve option for this one. It can also be made with a DK weight yarn.
